Vacation from Florida in San Diego for a month!
First time i went toi this bookstore the old women ( Manager i believe) was having
a conversation with the front desk guy and a client (...) obviously about Gay people
the client there mentioned something about the new Theater they just telling the clerk
not to welcome too much the Gay's !? what ? for real? i bought a ticket and ask the women
what was the problems and she was saying that she won't go for a place like Adult Emporium ( few blocs away from HL) because AE was way too GAY !!! yea lol she "Thanks god that the vices stop often to Hi-Lite ... i played a bit dummy and just ask why the vices are coming "often"? and
she said that vices are hunting Gay people in the theater (>>>) i said "u mean cruisers"? she said
well Gays in general brings all diseases and are cruising the "Straight " dudes in there!!!
Really!????
I went to that theater inside x 5 times ( different days and time) and this place is pathetic...
homeless inside sleeping, beer bottles and condoms everywhere, the guy there twice did not
use the cash register and no receipts saying its not working, the smell in this place is absolutely awful (a mix of cum/bleach..) one night the front desk guy was smoking weed in or by the back door!
Finally the Vices were there twice in a week, seen them once on Wed and a Costumer told me they were there the following night as well . let's hope the city remove the theater permit to this business.
Those people leaves like Nababs making money on Gay people, go to any Bookstore or don't cruise
if Hi lite is your only option! ( Adult Emporium theater is fabulous ) even the one on Barnett is great
but banish this has been place from your GPS! only trouble and yeye management who can't stand GAY people!!!
And the worst Bookstore in San Diego is....HL
It used to be a cool Bookstore for cruising, but the personality of the Manager there raizing all day long inappropriate comment about Gay people, the poor, aged conception of Management with no evolution of the clientele need turn this place as its own caricature!
Generators are usually drunk in there ( if you go after 9pm ) The night employee smoke weed usually on the side door and can be either half sleep on him self, this Bookstore had for years a nice or at least not Homophobic Day time clerk there...Franck.. the Lady there, been in command for over 30 years and she is becoming her own caricature, at 60 years old, she is trying to act as a 21 years old "Midinette" .This Bookstore got the inspiration ( as of today we can talk about a FLOP! ) to open a Theatre in the back , ripping off Potential Out of town Gay Tourist having the Illusion they are buying a ticket for Nirvana, while they enter a room about twice the size of a regular booth!
The day time Employee is another Caricature of what Employees of some of those Bookstore can become! The kind of Guy who goes to his SUV every hours to drink in his Vodka bottle !!!
The Owner biggest mistake is probably to TRUST the Expertise of the old Lady Manager.
Those people been probably excited to watch Bookstore like Adult Depot ( Few block away) making money ... yes! but with at least no employees organizing vendetta on Gay Cruisers!
The vice are ( thanks God) going more often now to this Bookstore on Rosecrans, after realizing the Danger at night of this Business.
You will be not surprise to find almost every night ...Drugs in the Booth, Homeless sleeping in the booth, Condoms a bit everywhere in the back! Drunk Cleaning Employees , and a HI front desk employee!
This place will probably not survive the Adults Bookstore Industry, really avoid this place!

San Diego has a reputation as a socially conservative, military town. But look a little closer and you'll find gay people everywhere (many military or retired), out in the open, holding hands in almost every neighborhood.
The crowd here is diverse, skews slightly younger and is warm and friendly (300 days of sunshine can make one that way).
To navigate San Diego, you'll need a car (and a designated driver) as the hot spots aren't really in walking distance of each other, but there are clusters of the bars and clubs in Hillcrest, University Heights and North Park.
For a sampling of the popular places, be sure to hit Bourbon Street in University Heights and Rich's & Flicks in Hillcrest. Swing by North Park for a more rougher feel with leather and bear bars scattered about.
What is best then 6 Gay cruiser giving you the best Marines spots to have fun after 2 Am on very hided spots in 29 Palms Canyons, and parking lot near the town...
The real places to meet handsome guys,during the day,and at night... If you are coming to San diego soon,and really want to optimize your stay here,get this list,you won`t regret it!

BLACK`S BEACH NORTH OF LA JOLLA
" THE GAY BEACH'
A MUST SEE..
One of the nation's iconic nude beaches, San Diego's majestically situated Black's Beach is also a favorite hangout of gay men and lesbians - clothed, partially clothed, scantilly clothed, unclothed, and all permutations thereof. This 2-miles stretch of soft sand lies at the base of 300-foot cliffs near University of California-San Diego, just north of La Jolla and about a 15- to 20-minute drive north of downtown San Diego.
The beach can be a tiny bit tricky to locate -
here are directions from downtown, but also check out the location of the parking area via this aerial photo and map overlay at google maps. From downtown, take I-5 north to exit 28B, and head west (toward the ocean) on La Jolla Village Drive, which curves north and becomes North Torrey Pines Road. After less than a half-mile, note the signs for the glider port and make a left turn onto Torrey Pines Scenic Drive. Follow this to the end, driving onto the dirt road and following it north to the parking lot (beware all the bumps and potholes), where there are plenty of spaces. You'll almost always see a bunch of gay guys parked here checking out the scene and each other. do you know that more then 80 adults gay videos been made at black`s Beach...

Note that public sex and nudity is not sanctioned here or down on the beach, but this is a relativley unregulated beach, because of its seclusion, and it's safe to say that as long as you're not causing anybody
